This painting is a celebration of quiet, evergreen love. Inspired by the lush greenery and white blooms in her garden, Naomi has mixed soft sage and olive greens with coffee, panna cotta and crisp, pure white blooms. The fresh, bright white flowers contrast against mocha and light grey drips, with delicate details of fern fronds in white and silver.
Naomi Crowther's well known Poppy series is revisited in this original artwork 'Love in Her Garden’ which is painted using a palette knife and thick impasto paint to create 3D raised petals on the blooms. Copper leaf catches the light as you walk past, adding both colour and conversation to your space.
Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW. She takes cues from cliff walks and observing local gardens and bushland plus her own studio plantings, as inspiration for this artwork.
